ECFD STORIES
From a small dance studio on the Sunshine Coast to the grand stages of Paris, Jackson Smith-Leishman’s journey is one built on talent, determination, and the support of a community that believed in him.
Jackson began dancing at just ten years old, training after school in everything from classical ballet to hip hop. His dream was clear from the start — to one day perform with one of the world’s leading ballet companies. With an unwavering work ethic and natural gift for performance, he quickly began earning places in elite programs, performing alongside The Royal Ballet Company during their Australian tour, and competing in international competitions from New York to New Zealand
In 2021, after years of dedication, Jackson’s dream took flight when he was accepted into The Royal Ballet School in London — one of only sixteen dancers selected worldwide. But reaching that level came with immense financial and personal pressure. His parents worked tirelessly to support his training, yet the cost of international study, tuition, and living abroad was significant.
That’s where East Coast Freight Distribution stepped in.
ECFD provided the financial assistance that helped Jackson relocate to London, covering training and boarding fees, travel expenses, and essential equipment. Their support gave Jackson the chance to focus entirely on his art — to refine his technique, complete his Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Ballet and Dance Performance, and ultimately, achieve what only a handful of Australians ever have: a professional contract with the Paris Opera Ballet.
Today, Jackson dances on the world stage, representing the Sunshine Coast and the community that helped him get there. From London’s Royal Opera House to tours across Europe and beyond, his story is proof that dreams born in small towns can reach extraordinary heights — when a community stands behind them.
“None of this was possible without the support I received. East Coast Freight Distribution helped make my dream come true — and I’ll never forget that,” says Jackson.
At East Coast Freight Distribution, we believe in delivering more than goods — we deliver opportunities, belief, and hope. Supporting Jackson’s journey is just one example of how we’re proud to be at the heart of the community.
ECFD STORIES
In a quiet corner of Queensland, three sisters—Nina, Wren, and LuLu—came together to form Vixens of Fall, a boho-country rock trio whose voices intertwine as seamlessly as their lives. They’re known for harmonies that hum with heart, songwriting that holds honesty, and performances that radiate confidence and connection. Vixens of Fall
They call Queensland home, but their dreams have always stretched further. When the opportunity arose to travel to Nashville, the cradle of country music, to perform, network, and grow, they knew it was a chance to elevate their sound—and represent their roots on a grander stage.
Yet the path to Nashville wasn’t easy. Travel, accommodations, gear, and promotion all come with heavy costs—costs that can stifle even the most talented artists. That’s where East Coast Freight Distribution stepped in.
ECFD believed in the potential of these sisters whose music was grounded in community, stories, and emotion. They sponsored Vixens of Fall’s trip to the United States, helping shoulder expenses for flights, instruments, lodging, and all the logistical hurdles that come with international travel.
Because of that support, Nina, Wren, and LuLu walked the streets of Music City, met industry figures, performed for new audiences, and brought their Queensland songwriting to the global stage.
We’re proud to say their story isn’t just theirs—it’s ours. At ECFD, we believe in lifting up local talent, investing in dreams born here in our own communities, and helping those dreams find their wings. Supporting Vixens of Fall in their Nashville journey is one way we keep showing that our heart is always in the community.
